Install Sheild Update Manager

Could anyone tell me how I could go about disabling or uninstalling the
Install Sheild Update Manager? I cannot seem to locate it in the System
Configuration Utility..

This topic that you linked me to does not mention anything about the
InstallSheild Update Manager, I'm assuming that it's talking about the HP
Update Manager that is something completely different.

I don't know why you think an article from the maker of InstallShield
has anything to do with HP. Perhaps the InstallShield "Software
Manager" is not the same thing as the InstallShield "Update Manager,"
but uninstalling the InstallShield "Software Manager" *is* disabling the
update service for an application. See, e.g.,

If that's not what you want, perhaps you should explain your problem in
a bit more detail.
