Hey all. My system keeps crashing every few hours since I deleted some files in my regedit while removing McAfee Virus Scan.

Is there a way to REINSTALL or REPAIR from the current XP Home Edition CD I have without losing any of my current icons or settings/programs?

I do not to format my hard drive.

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

You can repair your installation without losing your programs. Do a data backup, it
is always wise to back up now and then.

to backup all your valuable data files beforehand, although they, and your
programs, should remain intact:
