install problem

installing windows xp home, and during the installing
devices part with 34 minutes left the machine shuts down
by it self. i restart and try to finish and it does the
same again. I am building the computer myself,

has asus p4c800 deluxe m/o board
512 ram (pny ddr pc 3200)
ati all-in-wonder video card (128) not pro or xl
2.8 prescott processor with ht


running a dvd-burning drive and dvd rom drive,
it will do same the both drives, does not matter what
drive run the install disk from.

any help would be great!

Have you by any chance forgot to attach the CPU cooler power cable
Have you set shutdown temperature in BIOS
Have you tested your RAM (hint: memtestx86
Have you checked your PSU
