I/O Error When install attempt of Max Payne made...

WTF...whenever i try to install it gives me an "i/o error" here are my stats:

Asus P4C800 Deluxe MOBO
P4 2.4Ghz + HT
512 MB Corsair DDR
8x AGP w/ ATI AIW 9700 Pro Card...

what is wrong plz tell me... TIA

Hi Da s,

That type of situation may be indicating a problem with the CD Drive
or the CD ROM media. Clean both using a Cleaning Kit, check for
scratches on the CD, and try installing the game on another computer;
If the game installs, your most likely culprit is your CD ROM drive,
otherwise it's the media in which case you need to contact the vendor
if cleaning or repairing scratches on the surface of the CD doesn't help.

Before giving up hope try these steps:

1. In My Computer, right click the CD and copy it to your drive.
2. In My Computer, Rightclick the Drive / Choose Properties
and click the "Disk Cleanup..." button make space available.
3. Reboot, and press F8 to start Windows in SAFE MODE.
4. Doubleclick the setup.exe to install your program in safe mode.
