Hello..

We have a PC here at the office that wont let us install the component
update. It says there is another program that requires a reboot and when we
do that, we get the same message again, each time we try to run the update.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Brian

I would try to discover why is saying that.

This article tells you how to know what files are pending to be renamed on
reboot:

Take a look at that registry entry.

If that fails, you can monitor registry activity (Regmon.exe,
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/regmon.shtml) of the installer to
guess what registry entry caused it to think that a reboot is required.
