Install on demand not working for Applet Class with Sun Java

Due to XP crash, I have my lap top reinstalled and upgrade to Sun Java

The install on demand is checked but it will not work on Applet Class Download( ***.cab file), others is fine

So anyone have any idea about it? My colleague with OEM XPs and Microsoft JVM are working just fine.

Download has not been available from Sun Java for at least the last two days. From control panel'
Java update option, yesterday I at least got to the page where notification was made that update is
unavailable at this time. Day before, I was not even able to get into Sun Java update site
