Install on 2 swappable drives for 2 machines?

Ok, based on earlier response, I learned that if I want to
have a system with a swappable hard drive bay, and 2 hard
drives each with Windows XP installed, I need separate
licenses/installations for each. Which I have gone ahead
and purchased.

Now, what if I have 2 different machines, and 2 swappable
hard drives total? I want to be able to set up each hard
drive to be able to dock into either machine, but both
machines have significantly different hardware. My guess
is that it should be doable with "Hardware Profiles". But
then I heard that activation does something special with
linking the key to the hardware. Is this going to be a
problem, and is there any way to address it?

Thanks,
Richard

Licensing issues aside, every time the drive goes from one machine to
another, you'll probably have to do a repair install in order for it to run.
