install new fonts on Word

i have installed a new font from a floppy disk by
using 'copy & paste' method at c/windows/fonts.

But it does not appear when i open Word - it's not
enlisted in the list of fonts.

Please help me.

Did you install the new font using Control Panel, Fonts, File, Install New
Font?

Do other programs see it as a font. Look in
c:\windows\fonts and see if you can see it there and that
it has an icon like other ones to see if it is a font
that you installed. Try reinstalling it

--but heck what do I know I'm just 15--
