Install mcafee fails

I have recently installed XP Pro on a second machine and required some form
of anti virus software. I downloaded the Virus Scan 8 from Mcafee and tried
to install. The installation failed (ceased to load) after the country of
residence box had completed, second box in. I tried the same on a machine
with Win 98 and the installation ran past this point no problem. This is
obviously a problem with XP PRO and Virus Scan 8. (I run zonelabs on both
machines).
Anyone any ideas on this. Contact with Macafee is nigh on impossible..

Check the application logs and see if it is logging any errors. Really your
best option would be to contact McAfee though.

McAfee has an on-line type of help, they will also refund
the credit card you used to pay for the download if it
doesn't work.

I prefer to buy a CD (often they are much less money at the
store than a download).
