Install Hangs On ACPI Issue

I have searched the Internet for hours searching for an acceptable answer. I
have a Toshiba Satellite A35-S209 laptop. It is about 2 years old. The
Toshiba site does not have an update for my BIOS. The Windows Vista Upgrade
program says my machine is a good fit, however, the install hangs at reboot
and says my BIOS on my machine is not fully ACPI compliant. Phoenix, who
makes my BIOS, claims it is. Can anyone help me with this issue with a
workaround or a link? I am trying to upgrade to Vista RC1.

Thanks for your help,
Todd

well your Bios is ACPI COmpliant but only Vers. 1.0B just like my M35X Laptop
even though the 2.0 Standard was set in 2002 for vista everything I read so
far says it has to be 2.0 Compliant or newer.
