Install Avast as administrator, full functionality as power user?

Is anyone aware of any issues with installing the Avast antivirus home
edition as administrator, then mostly operating under a power user
environment? I'm trying to get a heads-up on assumptions that may
have gone into the design of the application e.g. assuming a single-
account environment (basically admin), which may result in unexpected
curtailment of functionality when Avast is installed as admin, but the
PC is used under power user. Thanks.

I was running my w2ksp4 since beginning as poweruser, often install as
pwuser. Just recently switched my account to normal user.

Supposing I was install Avast as admin.
No problem with avast during many years.

Hi, Poutnik,

When you say "supposing [you/it] was install...as admin" do you mean
that you suspect that you installed Avast ad admin?

Yes, I do.
It is long time ago and I do not remember.

it is my home computer, so I am also an admin.
When being poweruser in the past, I was using admin rights only if
necessery, doing common installs as PU.

But I suppose avast does not allow you install itself as PU ( but not
proved )

I have a power user account as well as administrator account and I was able
to do a manual Avast update with the power user account. As you might have
guessed, I didn't attempt an uninstall.
Avast has a good forum: http://forum.avast.com/ .
