Instalation problems with eopen cd keys)

Adam Graham

I bought licenses of Microsoft Office XP and here is the
kicker. I went to eopen.microsoft.com logged in and the CD
Keys the web site gave me DONT WORK. they let me install
the program, but when i run it the first time and it
prompts for activation it wants a new cd key.

MS phone support said this isnt covered by instalation
support.. (As odd as that sounds).

What do i do Call the activation people everytime?

I got the License through CDW, but the eopen email is what
i used to set up the license. CDW has tried helping with
this. Shouldnt it fall under MS Installation support?

Ok first of all you are asking about this in a Windows newsgroup and while
none of us will mind having a go at solving this with you, you might get
better mileage from asking in a Office XP support newsgroup. Just a thought.

Secondly, ok you have volume licences for Office XP but these won't install
with your media. So where did you source the media? Windows XP has different
media for retail, oem, volume licence programs, etc, and keys for one type
of media won't work with another - e.g. an OEM install CD won't accept key
codes for a full retail install. Could Office XP be the same? Do you have
retail media for Office and thats why its refusing your volume licence key?
