Instalation of printer

Hi, my printer (hp deskjet 3325) was working fine until i
installed an external cd writer which was an old one that
connect through the printer port. This then messed up my
computer which kept on turning off.After i loaded up in
safe mode and uninstalled the drive my computer works
fine but the printer no longer works. I have uninstalled
the printer successfully but if i try to reinstall it i
just get the data error - cyclic redundancy check and the
printer will not install!

I would really appreciate any help!

Hello Ryan

Have you tried going to hp's website and down the drivers
from their instaed of trying to re-install from the cdrom, I would
give that a try since you have not mentioned that.
