Inserting Text into a Doc File

GaryDean

I have a need to be able to insert various text strings into a .doc or .rtf
file at specific locations. I know I could probably do this by reducing the
..doc to a byte array but is there a better way?
Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary,

I may not understand your question exactly.
I have a need to be able to insert various text strings into a .doc or
rtf file at specific locations.

Do you mean that you'd like to insert various text strings into a .doc or
rtf file via Office interop?

If you could explain more about what you want, I will appreciate it.

I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,
Linda Liu

I've never used PIA but I was thinking that the solution would likely entail
that. If the best choice is PIA then how would I do this using PIA?

The .doc file is an IRS form complete with the blank ____________
spaces___________. My program has to fill out the form.
My program is a .Net c# windows forms assembly.
Thanks,
Gary
