Inserting pdf file

Using Word 2003 I have been able to insert at least part of an Adobe pdf file
into my document. I use Insert -> Object -> Create from File, make sure that
neither check box is selected, and then do the insertion. The first page,
but only the first page, flows into the document just fine.

I've seen other threads on this general topic that suggest you can't do such
an insertion at all, but my experience is different. My question is, how do
I get the entire document to flow in, or, if necessary, how do I do a
page-by-page insertion?

An object cannot span multiple pages.
