Inserting master slide from external file

Hi, a friend has designed a master slide for me - how do I insert it (or
'apply' it) into my existing pp file? I don't see the option under 'insert'

On your PowerPoint file, click Format > Slide Design.
Click Browse...
Look for the template (.pot) file your friend has created for you and click
Apply.
Holler back if you are still having problems.
