Inserting a character

B

BJ

When typing a letter and I read what I've typed, I see that
I have left out a word or character and want to go back
and insert the word. I mark the spot and type the new
word but it erases the word following the spot.

I assume I have something in the formatting wrong, but do
not know what to change.

Press the Insert Key to goggle the "insert" mode.

You have selected Overtype mode. Go to Tools, Options, Edit tab and deselect
the option.
