Inserted sound stops auto slide advance

My PPT works fine and advances slides automatically till I insert an MP3
sound file. Then when the sound file plays, the slides stop advancing.

By clicking the right arrow key TWICE to advance, the slides again start to
auto advance.

I want the sound file to continue playing through 10 slides.

Any ideas?

You need to set the sound file to allow the show to continue. Right click the
icon (in edit mode) and select Custom Animations. See the following:
