Inserted mp3 file won't play on powerpoint 2003 Message reads: specified file
cannot be played on the specified mci device
 
What is the source of the file? Did you rip it from a CD or download it from
the web? Go to Start > Run and type mplay32.exe to open the MCI player (which
PowerPoint uses) then open the MP3. Does it play? If not, then it won't play
in PowerPoint.
