Hi

Have a website not created in FP, but am using FP as editor. I read the
messages about importing in "folder view", but there is no "folder view",
when I open the page to edit......there is only the "page view"

how do I do this? I have a newsletter in PDF that I want to add to my
website for visitors to download. HELP

Try this:

1) View menu, click Navigation.

If the Navigation command is unavailable or grayed out then try this:

1) Close all open pages.
2) On the File menu, click Open Site.
3) In the Open Site dialog box, browse to and click the folder that
contains your Web site.
4) Click Open. If you are alerted that FrontPage needs to add
information to your folder, click Yes.

You need to open a frontpage Web, not just a page. Frontpage works
differently from other editors. It works with a collection of files - html
pages, scripts, images etc and collectively refers to them as a 'web'. You
need to have a 'web' open so you can work with the pages and files, and so
it can publish and track various aspects of the site, and also to utilise
various features.

I'm not saying your site is going to use Frontapge features, but you still
need to do the basics such as opening a web - as this effects things as
simple as your images and links. Importing files and images into the web is
an important function....see the links below for further information.

If you're not familiar with Frontpage, then you might need to see the Help
files for "creating a frontpage web site" and "importing files into a
frontpage website"

as a link.

Do you actually have a web created and opened before you open the page to
edit?

You can only get a folder / site view if the live/remote site has the FP extensions and you login.
