AVI movie plays in media player but not accepted in power point. The same
movie clips worked in the 98 version of PPt I am unable to make the help
file work around work because there is no media clip listed under object
type. Are there any solutions?

What version of PowerPoint are you using? Do you get a message when you try to
insert the file? It's always important to include this information with your
question. Where did the AVI come from? Is it from a digital camera? Where on
your hard drive have you stored the AVI - - My Documents?

I am using PPt 2002(10.6501.6626)sp3. The video is Microsoft DV 720-480
uncompressed, edited in Premier, stored on D: drive. The clip is stored in
the folder with the PPt file on C;drive. Yes i get the message of
unaccetability when I try to insert. Found a work around by putting an
action button on the screen and opening windows media, but have to click off
a 'may contain virus' message before it will run.
I am working on getting it to work from a CD but no sucess yet.
