When I am trying to insert a Media Clip (INSERT-OBJECT-MEDIA CLIP) I get
the following message. "Media Player settings have been changed by another
program. As a result, media Player may not work correctly. To fix this
problem, click Yes. To exit without fixing this problem, click No."

Clicking on Yes does not fix the problem, the Media Clip does not play. How
can I fix this problem?
Thanks
Markus

.

hi markus,

have you installed quicktime movie player, or a 3rd party
media player for example a divx player recently?

i ask only markus because we received a mail last week
from one of our clients here at
http://www.123powerpoint.com, with a similar problem, and
it seemed as though on installing a 3rd party media
player, that player also naturally takes over the rights
to play the media file. and powerpoint relies on windows
media player to do so.

if you right click the media file in your powerpoint
directory and choose properties. then click the change
button so that the file opens with, ...select windows
media player.

this should ensure that powerpoint will play the file as
long as the file itself is not corrupted.

hope this is of some hlep markus.
