Insert file view

Is there a way to have the view default to details when searching folders to
attach a file? Right now I have to manually change at evey folder change when
finding what I want to add.

That's not a Windows Mail issue.

Rather than using the Insert | File Attachment, you can just drag the file
to be attached from Explorer overtop the message to attach it. That might
work better than going through the Browse dialogs (which you can't customize
as far as I have been able to figure).
