Insert | File sorting views same on every folder

When inserting a file into a new message (or into a Word document), the sort
feature is applied to every folder the same. I have a user that states it
"used to allow" differing sorts to "stick" from folder to folder.

The individual folder views (including sorts) stick within Windows views but
not the Insert | File window.

Environment:
XPsp2
Office 2003 Professional
Interwoven | Filesite along with more add-ins than I want to count

I don't see how this is anything but a Windows issue. Ask in a newsgroup
for your version of Windows. Applications call Windows subsystems to
perform browsing tasks, they don't supply those subsystems themselves.
