Insert content from web

Marshall

There are several text and gif files in a web directory. I
need to link them to my word document so that the text/gif
is displayed, not the link. Cut and paste is not an
option. I need a method that allows a word doc to load
text/gifs from different net directories. The filenames in
the directory are the same; only the directory name has
changed.

Hi Marshall

Would IncludeText and IncludePicture fields work?

For pictures, use something like { INCLUDEPICTURE http://whatever.com/mypic.gif }.

For text, you will need { INCLUDETEXT http://www.whatever.com/myfile.doc } .

Note that you can't type the {} braces by hand. You must use ctrl-F9 and type between the braces that Word inserts for you. Once
you've typed the field, use F9 to update it, or ctrl-a F9 to update all fields in the document.

Hope this helps.
