Insert Break option missing

version: MSWord 2003/Windows XP

Under the "Insert" menu, "Break" no longer appears. I did not change any
settings, and I was able to insert breaks yesterday. What has happened, and
how do I fix the menu set up (or find a key command) to allow me to insert
page and section breaks?
