Something new has happenened to me. Before when i wanted to insert a word or
sentence, i placed the curser in the proper place and typed in what I wanted.
Now when I type in what I want the character(s) to the right is deleted and I
have to type the whole sentence and cannot insert a word or words betwen
other words without deleting characters to the right as I type.

It sounds as if you are typing in OVR or Overwrite mode.
Try pressing the insert key on your keyboard and try typing again after
that.
If you are using Word as your e-mail editor I can almost guarantee this will
be the case.
You can also confirm this action by looking on the status bar at the very
bottom of the window to see if there is a black OVR.
I have seen this many times and I point it out to EVERY class I teach Word
to.

Hopefully this solved the mystery.
