When I am inserting a number of slides from the same folder it is frustraing
because it keeps taking me back to my documents - instead of opening up the
last folder I was in. Any way I can change this because it is frustrating
and more time consuming?
Boneheaded, isn't it?
For starters, if you typically want to start browsing from someplace other than
My Documents, put a shortcut to that folder inside My Documents. That way it's
a one-click hop to your "home base".
Next, since it keeps taking you back to My Documents each time you browse, try
clicking My Recent Documents; you should find a shortcut to the last folder you
inserted from. Again, not perfect, still annoying but NOWHERE near as annoying
as before.
Finally, visit
http://www.pptfaq.com and you'll find a link near the top of the
page that'll take you to where you can tell Bill what you think of his anal
fixation on My Documents. Politely, please, and with an explanation of why
this costs you time and money every time you use PPT. And explain how you'd
like it to behave instead.
Yeah I know. A good rant is more fun. But trust me, this is more effective.
