I recently bought a second hand NEC worxstation OS
windows xp home edition,40 GBh ,128MB SDRAM ,1,7 Intel
celeron processor.
Windows XP was preloaded onto the system with no
installation cd.I do have the available product
codes, what i would like to know is where i can download a
installation cd of windows xp.
The service pack that i've got is SP1.
Would like to format hard drive & start with a new system.

Hi,

You can't download any copy of a WinXP installation CD. Your system maker
likely provided recovery partition or a means of creating a backup or set of
recovery disks. Check your system documentation for such. Read carefully.

There is nowhere you can download it.

NEC would have supplied some means of restoring to ex-factory state -
probably a CD, which might be capable of doing the other things a retail
CD can do. Or may have left an i386 folder of files with extensions

code will though only work with such a presumed NEC CD - you will have
to contact them to see if they will provide a replacement actual disk to
work with the key you have
