When I started up powerpoint from a new Office CD, I got registered but input
an incorrect access code that was sent to me by email. I don't know how to
correct it as it guarantees my permanent use as opposed to temporary number
of times to use.

Where did you buy PPT from?
Was there no product code on the back of the CD cover?

I'll assume that you couldn't activate online for some reason and had to get a
code by email (and that we *are* talking about activation codes). If that's not
right, let us know, 'kay?

I'm guessing, never having manually activated, that there'd be an error message
if there was a problem with the code you entered. Was there? If not, how do
you know you entered an incorrect code?

If it truly is a wrong code, it should prompt you to activate again when the
"demo" period times out. But you should also be able to choose Help, Activate
Product to start the activation process again.
