I'm not sure that you even need to purchase an additional tube. For several
Epson printers, such as the C-84 and the R1800 I've seen; simply rerouting
the tube to emerge from the rear and direct into a bottle of appropriate
sizing after drilling a small feeze-through hole in the back of the printer.
If an extension is needed you could easily pick up an appropriate size
either at an aquarium shop or possibly at a Home Depot.

Sorry, that strange expression
"a small feeze-through hole"
should read a small feed-through hole"

I've been printing the same orion nebula picture too many times today.

Thanks Jan.
I Don't know just how long the tube is I can only see just a little bit
of it.I was thinking the same thing about getting a short piece of
tubing at the hardware store.

Ideally you need a piece of 1/16" ID (Inner diameter) tubing and a low
profile container.

The tubing is something you can probably get in a hardware or pet store
(aquariums use the same sort of tubing).

As to the low profile container, I say this because you do not want the
tubing to go any higher than the printhead unit otherwise you can get
backflow in to the cleaning sponge and a mess results.

I'm in the process of building a stand of sorts that puts a waste
container (sort of low profile tupperware container) underneath the
printer whilst supporting the printer above, using some plywood, and
wooden battons.. At some point I'll get around to getting the parts and
putting a display on continuousink.info for people to get a few ideas.

Anyways, hope that helps..

Thanks for the advice.I went to osh hardware and bought a piece of 1/4
inch plastic tubing and the tubing that is in the printer fits inside
the 1/4 inch tubing.the tubing only cost 10 cents a foot.I have the tube
going into a small tupperware container for now.i was surprised at how
much ink came out when I started to print.I think you might have a good
idea of building a stand to put the printer a little higher.
