Epson R1800 "Clear Counter Error"

Chobin

Hello, can you help me?
My printer's display has started showing a message like this: "parts
inside the printer
have terminated their life cicle". Now the printer is not working any
more.
Searching the web I found that this message is due to the sponges,
situated
into the printer, full of ink. The solution is: open the printer, clear
the sponges, find
two little tubes, who transport waste ink to sponges and move the end
of these tubes
out of the printer, into a little bottle. Ok, done.
Now my problem is how to reset the error on the printer... SSC Service
Utility
shows: "Clear Counter Error" but doesn't have the solution for my
printer...
Have someone had a similar problem?
Thank you in advance for your help and sorry for my terrible English.
Carlo.

Once you actually get the error, the SSC utility cannot reset it.
There should be someone on this group who will be able to help you
reset it with buttons on the printer or a different utility.

I'm surprised Epson's own program hasn't been leaked to the internet
yet.

Ideally you should replace the pads but if you are going to divert the waste
ink to a bottle then a reset will get you going again.
If you would like the reset information please e-mail me, I cannot post the
file here but I will see that you get the information.

Thank you very much for your answers.
Tony, I cannot find your email address...
Can you see my one?
If yes, could you send me the procedure
to unlock the printer?
Carlo.
