Ink supplier for an S800 printer please in the UK

Morgan

Hello

I have got a Canon S800 printer and have recently changed all the cartridges, to
compatible and not genuine Canon, but the photo print quality has gone really
poor.

Regardless of the settings and paper combination that I use I still can't get
the quality back to as it was with the original cartridges. I have used way too
much paper, Kodak Ultima Ultra Glossy, and ink to continue with this exercise.

So..... Would the quality that I was getting only be possible with the genuine
cartridges and ink or could I experience that same quality by using another make
such as those found at....

http://www.inkylink.co.uk/ and the JetTec cartridges that they sell.

Has anyone had experience of using their cartridges or could they suggest
another supplier and type to use..?

Thank you for any help

If you are in the UK I'll gladly send you a test print from an S-820 which
exactly duplicates Canon OEM stuff. The BCI-6 is turning into one of the
best sellers so many users are proving the point. Unfortunately you may find
that very few of our business users frequent these news groups - and those
from other localities are unfortunately disposed to relate tales of woe:
unfounded or not ??

Morgan,
I have used JetTec ink in my Epson C82 and the results were very good.
Comparable to Epson OEM's

Hi Morgan,
Have you tried 'www.MX2.co.uk'? I use their compatable cartridges and they are
fine. I also tried their own photo paper recently and it's great. I use their
Ref: M270G 270gram photo glossy for good prints. Their prices are right and
the quality and service high. Incidentally, I've no connection with them. It's
just that I spent a long time searching for the 'right' people and feel it's
only fair to pass this knowledge on. Hope this helps. Regards,
Dave

No I haven't tried them but I will now give them a look - appreciate also that
you have give me your opinion of their paper - as it was both ink and paper that
I am looking for - thank you :)
