Gary is right. That's one of the nice things about Canon cartridges.
They are constructed of clear plastic and all you have to do to
monitor you ink level is to lift the printer cover.

Not that particualar type though, TMK, so you will have to get a feel, or
whatever, or keep partially refilling, or half better yet, make up a CIS
system.
