Initialize New Hard disk

I set a new slave hard disk (80Gb/7200).
try to open disk managment and I get the following
message:

logical disk manager
The service did not respond to the start or control
request in timely fashion



please help
 
Hi, Shalom.

Are you sure all your jumpers and cables are set correctly and firmly
plugged in?

What kind of interface does your new drive use? USB? ATAPI? SCSI? Does
it use a new controller card that needs drivers?
