Inhibit special Windows key?

Hi; I am quite new to this group. Someone might have an answer to the
following:

In my humble opinion the position of the special Windows keys is an
ergonomic nightmare. Does anyone know if they can be disabled? I mean of
course the key between Ctrl and Alt and the keys between AltGr and Ctrl.
