Inherit permissions

We are running W2K sp4. I have one account that needs to
have send as permissions added on the security tab in
ADUC. This particular account does not have the box
checked to inherit permissions. After I add someone to
have "send as" rights, or if I check for it to inherit
permissions, the settings go away after 5 minutes or so.
There's nothing in a log file that I can find that relates
to this. Any ideas?

Is this ccount a Administrative account or part of any other build in
groups. If yes, then you are seeing adminSDHolder process at work. See
