I have an infra-red adaptor attached to my PC, it works automatically when I
plug it into the USB port on the front of my PC, but when I plug it into the
back USB port it won't work. I would like it at the back out of the way. Can
anyone please help?

Do other usb devices work if plugged into the back port? If not, the
connector may not be working.

Bear in mind that infrared is light, so whatever is transmitting the
infrared signal must be able to see the receiver. Is it possible that
when you move the receiver to the back of your computer that the
transmitter can't see it anymore?

I have several devices that only work in the one port. The solution seems to
be to move the device to the new port and then re-install the device driver.
Repeat each time you change port. (So much for plug and play).
