information on event viewer

Hi,
Looked into my event viewer and saw a warning.
Source, DISK Event ID.51 An Error was detected on
device\Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.
Could someone please tell me what this means, am hearing
a clicking noise also, Thank you for any information I
can get.

I have heard of this error being recorded when a digital camera memory card
is being used accessed.

The "clicking" sound could be of more concern. You might want to run a hard
drive diagnostic tool, usually available from the hard drive manufacturers
websitew, to make sure you do not have a failing drive.

In either case, it would be a good idea to keep current backups of your
important data on removable media.
