If you are using Outlook Express, make a message rule. The most 'popular'
e-mails at the moment are SWEN, which is about 150kB in size, and another
whose name escapes me, but is about 60kB.

If you do not routinely receive legitimate e-mails of this size, then filter
them by size.

Open Outlook Express

Select 'Tools, Message Rules, Mail

Select 'New'

In the top window, tick 'When the message is more than size'

In the next window, tick 'Delete from server' or however you wish to deal
with it

In the next window, click on the blue 'size' word, and enter, say, 50kB

Give it a name in the lowest window, and press OK.

It will now appear in the Rules box with a tick next to it to show that it
is enabled.

All e-mails bigger than your selected size will be deleted at the server, so
you will not have to wait (and pay) for them to be downloaded

there is no way to stop them from being sent to you, but there are ways
to filter them out once they arrive... how exactly depends on the virus
or worm...

It also helps to have more than one email account. One for usenet use,
which can be abused, and one that you use for other purposes.
