Individual files aren't shared

My XP Pro laptop can get access to some files in a folder
on my XP Home desktop but not to other files in the same
folder. What's wrong?? Thanks.

Interactively check the security tab on the individual
files that you don't have access to and see who has
permissions to them.

Sorry, but how do you check permissions on individual
files? There is no Security tab in the files'
Properties. Thanks.

Try this...

Open an explorer window (windows key + e).
Got to Tools -> Folder Options
Click the view tab.
Uncheck the simple file sharing check box.
You should then get the security tab when you right click
a folder/file and select properties or sharing and security.

Thanks, but that works only for XP Pro, because XP Home
offers only simple file sharing, so you don't have the
option to disable it.
