Indexing Service

Under computer management,service/application,indexing
service, when I go to query the catalog, I get the
following message.

"mmc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created."

Any guidance on how to fix this problem. Thanks.
