Dave

I want to make an intro banner page but in order for the
host site to read this page first i need to rename it
index.html. That's not a problem but the issue is if I
do this I will lose all my links the my current intro
page. All the other pages will be link to the banner
page and not the home page.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

If you're using FP it will recalculate your hyperlinks when you rename the page. I think that's what your asking.

It's called a splash page
- and yes renaming your home page will mess up your links

If your host supports subwebs, publish your current root web to a subweb under it
(create a folder and right click it to convert to web)
- that preserves it as a web w/ all navigation intact
Then in the root web delete All pages and content Except for your current home page, and edit it's content to be that you want on
the splash page, plus provide a link to your real; content home page in the new subweb
Publish all including subwebs

If your host supports subwebs:
Create a subweb in your site, then publish the entire site to the subweb.
In the rootweb, delete the web site, (do not delete the _private or images
folders - just the content within them). Place your intro page into the
root web, and link it to the old home page in the sub web. Navigation in
the subweb will be retained.

Thanks you so much!
