index.htm

Hi, I've built my first site in FP03 and all works fine
when previewed in browser. I saved the home page as
index.htm but it appears within the folder with a normal
page icon and not a house icon, consequently FP doesn't
seem to recognise as a website, on startup I get a folder
list to navigate and then open the pages to edit, will
this cause problems when I go live? Also, I saved all the
pages within a folder within the FP generated "my web
sites" folder, is this ok?
Many thanks
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

The name of the home page on a given web server / site is dependant upon the server configuration. Try default.htm instead of
index.htm

Does the folder that contains your web pages have the blue globe icon on it??
If not, in FrontPage right click the folder and then select "Convert to web" when it's done, then
open the web and select Tools > Recalculate hyperlinks.
