Increasing screen size from right to left

I am using pp 2003 professional and XP. When I play a presentation on my lap
top, I see bars on the right and left of my screen...where the slide/picture
doesn't fill out to the ends. It does not do this on my desk top computer.
I use my laptop to show presentations on a data projector on a large
screen..so this is annoying to have the slides not fill the screen completely.
Please help!!! I am desperate.

I'm guessing that your desktop is using a 3/4 display and your laptop is a 16:9 or 16:10 display. Whichever computer your creating the presentation on set up the page to the dimensions of your laptop and then create your presentations.

Michael...I started a new pp presentaion and enlarged the scene to 16
horizontal and 9 vertical. For some slides it looks okay but for some with a
portrait style photo..when you stretch it out, the person is greatly
distorted to be unusable. Is there any way to correct that???

You are never going to get a portrait image to fit a landscape screen unless you loose some of the image when your sizing. I don't believe you can properly copy to the widescreen presentation without distortion. You have to insert everything from scratch.

When your resizing your image just use the corner holders as they should maintain the aspect ration of your image.
