Is is possible to INCREASE the number of files remembered
in the "most recently used" list with a registry edit?

I know most people want to clear it, but I need to have it
"remember" more files.

Thanks,

jp

Hi JP,

Nine is the most I can set. My guess is that's the max.

Hi,

NINE would be great. I can see only FOUR on my current
file menu.

How do I get it to show NINE?

Thanks,

jp

Tools/Options/General. Increase the number in the Recently used files
spinner.

Go to Tools, Options, General and set it to '9'. I believe that is th
maximum, you may also consider using the 'favorites' folder more often
this saves me considerable time, and can be used to point t
directories, files, etc. It is also used with Explorer, and is share
across MS apps.

good luck

How to access from within Excel besides File|Open?

Turn on your Web Toolbar

Thanks to all.

Now I REALLY feel dumb....never noticed that item on the
GENERAL options screen. I rarely change anything on that
menu.

Thanks just the same.
