Increase the server time-out limit

I'm sending an email from outlook through hotmail with a 12mb attachment.
aparently this is too large for hotmail to handle. The message just sits in
my outbox and it tries to send it over and over. I can't even delete it from
the outbox because outlook tells me that it has "already begun sending" the
message.

i thought i could increase the servertimeout limit, but when I go to edit
existing email accounts, the option is nowhere to be found - i also searched
prefreces, etc. I cant find it, and I dont even know if this will solve the
problem.

i can't even download new emails because it just keeps trying to send the
message.

I just want to delete the message and send it in pieces, or zipped, but I
can't delete it!

anyone have a solution for that one?

thanks
