How do I delete an unsent message that is partially sent?

I am using Outlook 2003, and I tried to send a message using my hotmail
account. When I tried to send it, Outlook tells me I can't because the
attachment is too large (12mb), but it won't let me delete it from the outbox
because it says the message is already partially sent. How can I clear this
message from my outbox so Outlook can send and receive normally again?

Ask usual, Mary forgot a crucial step.
Click File and check Work Offline. Stop and restart Outlook. Delete the
message. Click File and uncheck Work Offline. It wouldn't hurt to stop and
restart Outlook again.
