increase disk size

I have a basic 4 GB disk partition with the OS installed on it. (C: drive)
I have 71 GB of free space on D: drive (basic partition).
How can I expand the C: to use free space on D: drive?

Use a product such as PartitionMagic (PowerQuest) or
DiskDirector (Acronis).
