Incorrect Icons

I copied some files from a data disc that I created on a
windows ME machine onto a new windows XP system. Now some
of my system icons on XP are the ME ones ( Recycle Bin,
Network Neighborhood). I tried to go change them and they
won't change. What did I do and how can I fix it?!
